What is Acro Yoga?

Acro yoga is a way of exercising, feeling good & confident, building strength and flexibility while connecting with other people and having fun.

Acroyoga is a great way to build trust and confidence. It empowers you from the first lift.

As it names states, it’s a mix between acrobatics and yoga. It is performed with a partner, however you don’t need to have a partner to participate in a class. Actually it’s usually better if you don’t have a regular partner so you practice with different people and it fast forward your learning.

 

Acro Yoga Workshop

We offer regular acroyoga workshops in Sydney. We aim to get people who are at the beginning of their acro journey, are curious about it and may or may have not tried it before. (From complete beginners to intermediate).

You learn the proper technique to go from one pose to another with confidence and ease. Our workshop makes people feel secure so they can learn faster and progress safely.

We also practice outdoor at a beautiful locations, so we get some fresh air and in contact with nature.

It’s not about strength, it’s about technique. Learning the proper technique will allow you to get into poses you didn’t even think possible.

About Your Host

Meet Valerie Saindon, an expert in the art of acroyoga. With years of training and practice under their belt, Valerie has become a sought-after acroyoga teacher in Australia.

Known for her passion and expertise, Valerie brings a unique and dynamic energy to her classes. Her teaching style is both fun and challenging, helping students to push their boundaries while also fostering a sense of community and connection.

Whether you’re a seasoned acroyoga practitioner or a complete beginner, Valerie’s classes are tailored to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals. With a focus on safety, alignment, and proper technique, Valerie will guide you through each pose and transition, helping you to develop strength, flexibility, and balance along the way.

My goal is to help people become more conscious and aware and make this world a better place to stay, 1 yoga class at the time.

Questions and Answers

Feel free to take a gander in our blog where some of your questions might be answered
Do I need a partner?
No! You can come along with or without a partner. We are matching everyone together so you get to practice with different people
Can I join if I have never done Acro before?
Of course, you can! Acro is for everyone. Your teacher will take you through all the poses and will adapt the pace of the class to your level of fitness. You will feel safe and looked after while having fun and creating a strong bond with your lover.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes that do not restrict your movements. Shorts and t-shirt or leggings and tank top. You might want to bring a hat or sunnies for those sunny mornings.
Do I need to bring anything?

We recommend bringing a bottle of water. You should bring your own mat. Maybe a jumper for cooler days and a hat for sunny days.

What if I have an injury?
Make sure you mention the injury to your teacher. We recommend seeking professional advice before starting.
What if it rains?
If it a little sprinkle, we will go ahead. However, if it rains heavily, we will have to reschedule. We will send an email 1 hour prior the class to let you know.
Do you offer private or corporate Acroyoga classes?

We sure do, get in touch with us to organise it.

About Valerie

Vibrant, driven and a born teacher, Valerie Saindon is a passionate acroyogi. Valerie strenghts reside in helping people feel at ease, confident and connect with each other. Her classes are welcoming and allows everyone to feel part of the group. Her 15+ years experience in teaching & coaching makes her explaination and understanding of movement a great assets for her teaching. Her “Joie de Vivre” is definately contagious.

When not teaching yoga, you will find her surfing, reading a book or managing her marketing business.
